Holidays With Music

The Chamber Chorale of Fredericksburg has had a very busy and successful holiday season this year, beginning on December 1, 2025, with a well-received performance at Jubilation senior living center. We always enjoy performing at Jubilation, and this year was no exception, with an engaged audience of music lovers and new listeners alike.

Beyond the ‘Burg

CCF was also honored to be selected for multiple appearances on WETA television’s “Songs of the Season” during the first two weeks of December. Our performance of “Glow” by Eric Whitacre, recorded during our 2024 December Concert, was selected for inclusion. That piece was also included in programming for WETA Classical 90.9 FM on Dec. 19, 21, and 23. We were excited to hear from folks across the DMV who had heard us on 90.9 FM and were extremely complimentary of the musicianship and musical selection. And are proud to represent Fredericksburg to this wider, regional audience.

Sounds of the Season – A Fredericksburg Holiday Tradition

Our annual “Sounds of the Season” concert was presented at Fredericksburg Baptist Church at 3 pm and 7 pm on Dec. 13, with over 400 in attendance. The chorale with 11-piece brass/percussion ensemble and full organ accompanying our signature pieces, “Gloria” by John Rutter and “The Dream Isaiah Saw” by Glenn L. Rudolph, was glorious.

We are privileged with such immense musical talent right here in the Fredericksburg area that it is always a privilege to feature local instrumentalists as a part of our performances.

Well-earned bow at the end of a wonderful concert

We followed this up with a partnership performance with the Fredericksburg Symphony Orchestra and Broadway star, Morgan James, on December 17, at James Madison Auditorium.

Looking Ahead to Spring

Having put in this tremendous commitment, following the symphony performance, CCF chose to take a well-deserved break. Our dedicated musicians will resume rehearsals again in early January as we begin preparations for a performance at St. George’s Concert Series on March 15, 2026, at 3 pm. This will be followed by our final performance of the year on April 11, 2026, at 3 pm and 7 pm at Fredericksburg Baptist Church, when we perform our Spring Concert, “Songs of Love.”

Join us for the 2026‑2027 season

Our 2025–2026 season has come to a close, and we are grateful to everyone who joined us throughout the year. We now look ahead to another inspiring season of music and community as tickets for our upcoming performances become available.
