Italian Composers Concert offered FREE featuring the Chamber Chorale of Fredericksburg and performing a selection of Italian and American choral works.
The Fredericksburg-Este Association offers the William Carter Memorial Italian Composers Concert annually, with no admission charge, as a musical gift to the people of Fredericksburg. The performance, held annually in the fall, honors long-time choral performer Bill Carter, who was active in the Italian sister city group. The sister city association, partnered with Este, Italy (near Venice), brings a variety of Italian-themed events to the Fredericksburg area, to increase awareness and enjoyment of Italian culture. The Italian Composers Concert features the Fredericksburg Chamber Chorale for the second time, in this series of Italian-centered musical concerts.
Please click here for a PDF with more information, including info on a talk on Italian composers by Dr. James Kuykendall (from UMW's Music Department) on Friday, October 14.
