The
Chamber Chorale of Fredericksburg, Virginia, (CCF), is seeking
applications for a Musical Director beginning with the Fall 2008 season.
The CCF was founded in 1989 as a small ensemble dedicated to
performing high-quality choral music in a wide variety of styles for the
cultural enrichment of the community. From a capella singing to
major chamber works with orchestra, this 24-voice group performs 3-4
concerts a year in the Fredericksburg area and participates in various
regional events and concert series around the Commonwealth. This
is a paid position and requires weekly rehearsals on Monday evenings,
dress rehearsals prior to each concert, and planning for each
performance year (September through May). The Musical Director will be
responsible for music selection, conducting rehearsals, participation in
the selection of replacement members, and coordination with the CCF
Board of directors.
Applicants are asked to submit
resumes and references to the attention of Patti Kerns, President, at
the CCF address below by March 31, 2008. Interviews will be conducted
and a decision made by May 1, 2008.
